S. Barzin Architect is an interdisciplinary architecture and design firm founded by Shahin Barzin, AIA and is located in Jamestown, RI.
SBA designs are noted for their elegance, craftsmanship and practicality. Design is expressed with the understanding that each project is unique in relationship to the clients’ needs and the project’s environment. SBA covers a wide range of both residential and commercial projects. SBA is dedicated to exploring new building technologies and when possible implementing sustainable building systems into projects including geothermal, solar panels and novel concepts such as the use of straw bale for building envelope and insulation.
SBA has been a recipient of different awards and recognition, including the “Preserve Rhode Island Historic Preservation Project Award” for the restoration of Belcourt Mansion in Newport, 2012-2019.
Shahin Barzin, principal architect, holds bachelor degrees from Rhode Island School of Design in both Architecture and Interior Architecture. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and NCARB.
